Peter Dye

Biography

Peter’s professional career has centered on global education, language learning, and cultural exchange. As an undergraduate student, he took part in a life-changing study abroad trip to Chiapas, Mexico that broadened his horizons and fortified his interest in travel, education, and international relationships. He went on to teach English in Spain and South Korea for several years before returning home to pursue a master’s degree in applied linguistics at Georgia State University where he also taught in the Intensive English Program.

Prior to joining the International Affairs team at UWF, Peter served international and immigrant students as the Assistant Director of Community and Global Engagement at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia. He also designed and taught a range of English programs and courses including an academic English pathway program for international university students and a community English course for immigrant parents.

Peter loves to talk about travel, languages, countries, and cultures, so come by his office to chat anytime.
