Biography
Jeanne has a passion for international education and believes that building a global community starts with personal connections and relationships. After joining the UWF Intensive English Program in 2007 and International Student Services in 2016, she continues to be inspired by her work with international students and those from around the U.S. who welcome them to our shores.
Prior to coming to UWF, Jeanne taught at Northern Virginia Community College and the Rheinisch-Westfaelische Foreign Institute. She began her career in international education after being recruited as an English major to teach grammar and conversation to Japanese students at Georgia Southern College. One conversation can change your life!
She is currently a board member of Emerald Coast TESOL and coordinates cultural enrichment volunteer programs at the SAIL Academy at CA Weis Elementary School. She is the advisor for UWF Global Quarter, BRASA the Brazilian Student Association and the Asian-American Student Union.
Jeanne lived in Germany for many years and enjoys learning about other cultures and languages when she travels.
