Philanthropy
Fraternity and Sorority members give back to the campus and Pensacola community in a variety of ways each year. Every fraternity and sorority has a national philanthropy. A cause that they are involved in by raising awareness, fundraising, and by participating in hands on service.
The members of our fraternal community at the University of West Florida participate in service and philanthropy events that help our community, area and nation. Fraternities and sororities participate in service and philanthropic events together, such as the planning of and participation in Dance Marathon, doing hands-on service in our community during United Way's Day of Caring, and through planning and participation in large campus awareness events like Relay for Life and Take Back the Night. Individual organizations also host philanthropy events each year and participate in various hands-on service projects in the community. Together, the fraternity and sorority community raises over $100,000 a year for charities and logs approximately 7,000 hours of community service.
