Unrecognized Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) Organizations

The University of West Florida is committed to providing transparency regarding known, unrecognized organizations.

Suspended Organizations

Suspended FSL organizations have been suspended from the university due to violations of campus policies. 

  • Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. (Sorority) - Completed suspension with the University of West Florida for violations regarding hazing and violations of University policy. Suspended by International HQ until September 10, 2026.

Expelled Organizations

Expelled organizations are not recognized by or advised by the University, are unable to use campus resources, and are prohibited from participating in all University events, including Fraternity and Sorority Life. FSL chapters that are expelled are ineligible to return to campus. For more information regarding these chapters, please contact fsl@uwf.edu.

  • Kappa Sigma (Fraternity) - Expelled from the University of West Florida effective February 5, 2024, for failure to comply with University directives while under an active suspension. 

Inactive Organizations

Inactive organizations currently have no members and have voluntarily ceased operation due to issues not related to conduct.  Each of these chapters is eligible to return to campus. For more information regarding these chapters, please contact fsl@uwf.edu. 

  • Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
  • Omega Delta Phi Fraternity, Inc. 
  • Sigma Alpha Mu
