QM Peer Reviewer

Acting in a QM-Certified Reviewer role offers benefits for you, and helps you contribute to the quality assurance process.

How do I become a QM Peer Reviewer?

All online instructors have the potential to become a QM Peer Reviewer, but first, you must complete the following steps.

Step 1 - Complete the Applying the QM Rubric (APPQMR) Workshop

Learn the underlying principles behind the QM Rubric and the critical elements of the QM quality assurance process. Learn about drafting helpful recommendations as you apply the Rubric to an actual course.

Step 2 - Complete the Peer Reviewer Course (PRC)

This course prepares experienced online faculty to become QM-Certified Peer Reviewers. The Peer Reviewer Course includes a review of Quality Matters, practice in critiquing and writing helpful recommendations, and a Practice Review. Participants must review Specific Review Standards in an online course using the QM Course Review Management System (CRMS)

Step 3 - Meet the Other Requirements

You must be a current QM subscriber, AND you must have online teaching experience in a for-credit course within the last 18 months.

Step 4 - Complete the Peer Reviewer Application

After completing the Peer Reviewer Course, QM will provide you with the application.

Why should I become a QM Peer Reviewer?

Serving as a peer reviewer is a great way to learn about what’s happening in other online courses, get ideas for your own teaching, and provide valuable feedback for other online instructors.
