Tapestry Theatre

UWF is the home of Tapestry Theatre, a unique multicultural performing company. Tapestry Theatre offers the students of UWF and the city of Pensacola thought provoking theatre with a commitment to diversity.

 

Scene from Flyin' West by Pearl CleageStudents, community members, and professional Actors work alongside one another, to provide a more meaningful theatrical experience. Past shows include:The House of Bernarda Abla, Rashomon, Speak of Me As I Am starring and written by television and film actor Thom Gossom Jr., Flyin' West by Pearl Cleage,and A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry.

 


 

 

 

Annual Concert Showcase

This unique showcase features the talented students and faculty of the UWF Music and Theatre departments. From Jazz to Classical, serious to comical, 50-piece ensembles to intimate solo performances, this event has it all. Presented in a special one-of-a-kind format, "Without Pause!......Without Applause!" 2007's Concert Showcase was a Friday 13th presentation entitled "Something Wicked This Way Comes!"
