Howard Reddy
Howard is a baritone from Carlow, Ireland. He holds a Masters of Music from the Curtis Institute of Music, where he attended on a merit based full tuition scholarship, and as a Fulbright Scholar. He also holds a degree in Law & Business from University College Dublin. His numerous performance credits include Il Conte Almaviva(Le Nozze di Figaro) for Opera North (UK), Grange Park Opera (UK) and the Curtis Opera Theatre. Mr McLean(Susannah) and Le Podestat(Le Docteur Miracle) for Wexford Festival Opera, Friedrich Bhaer(Little Women), Ceprano (Rigoletto) and Sciarrone (Tosca) for Pensacola Opera, Marcello(La Boheme) for the Chautauqua Institute, Fiorello(Il Barbiere di Siviglia) and Marcese(La Traviata) for Opera Festival of New Jersey. Numerous roles for the Curtis Opera Theatre including Marcello(La Boheme), Captain(The Death of Klinghoffer), Ramiro(L’heure espagnole), John Sorel(The Consul), John(Miss Julie), Tarquineas (The Rape of Lucretia) and Le Directeur ( Les Mamelles de Tireasias) among others. Additionally, numerous roles also for the Leinster Opera Studio. His performance of John in Miss Julie is available as a live recording on the Albany Label. Oratorio performances include Bach’s Johannes Passion with the Princeton University Choir, Messiah at Yorkminster Cathedral (UK), soloist in Beethoven’s 9th with the Northwest Florida Symphony, and finals concert at Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall with the Oratorio Society of New York where he was second place overall prizewinner, in addition to numerous other performances with many choral societies. He has appeared in numerous gala concerts with both orchestra and piano throughout the US and Europe. He has a particular passion for musical theatre, Irish song and folk music from around the world. In concert, with his wife mezzo-soprano Hanan Tarabay, they combine their love of many genres in presenting their concert : Duets – Songs of Love & Passion, which is promoted by CMI Entertainment.  Â
