Active RSS feeds of events on UWF webpages from the UWF Event Calendar.
Event submissions for the UWF Event Calendar with specific event criteria, such as a department, event type or topic, will be automatically added to RSS feeds on various UWF webpages shortly after approval. Below are the UWF webpages with the event criteria for the RSS feed on that respective webpage.
When submitting an event for approval on the UWF Event Calendar, select an appropriate department hierarchy. This hierarchy will allow for better functionality of RSS feeds on UWF webpages.
Example 1: A Department of Biology event submission should include both Biology and Hal Marcus College of Science and Engineering for the Department filter.
Example 2: A Counseling and Psychological Services event submission should include both Counseling and Psychological Services and Division of Academic Engagement and Student Affairs for the Department filter.
Example 3: A UWF Singers event submission should include UWF Singers for the Group and both Dr. Grier Williams School of Music and College of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities for the Department filter.
Please note if no upcoming events on the UWF Event Calendar meet the event criteria for an RSS feed, the event feed will be empty on that UWF webpage.
If a UWF unit would like an event RSS feed from the UWF Event Calendar setup and added to an appropriate UWF webpage, a UWF web manager may contact websupport@uwf.edu for assistance. An event RSS feed is only recommended if a UWF unit is hosting consistent or multiple events throughout the year and are submitted and approved for the UWF Event Calendar to prevent empty event RSS feeds on UWF webpages.
