Hey everyone! I'm so excited to chat with you all about the most awesome of topics: graduation!
For many of you, that light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter and brighter. You've put in the hard work – the late nights, the challenging assignments, all those early morning classes – and now, that moment of walking across the stage at Commencement is within reach.
Let's make sure you're all set for a smooth and stress-free finish. Graduation is a significant transition, and we want to make sure you're prepared for everything. So, let's break down what you need to know.
Checking Those Boxes: Your Graduation Checklist
- Review Your Degree Progress: This is critically important! Take a good look at your degree audit in MyUWF. Double-check that you've completed all your required courses for your major and any minors. Are all your credits accounted for? Are there any outstanding items you need to address?
- Connect with Your Advisor: Click HERE for the School of Education Advisors. You can go over your academic progress together, answer any questions you have, and make sure you're on track to graduate. Please reach out and set up an appointment soon!
- Apply for Graduation: Don't forget this crucial step! There's a formal application process, and the spring 2025 deadline has passed. Contact your advisor for assistance if you still need to complete a spring 2025 graduation application. Click HERE for details and instructions regarding applying for graduation.
- Remove Privacy Restriction: Review your Contact and Privacy Information in your MyUWF and make any necessary changes.

- Order Your Cap and Gown: Don't wait until the last minute! It's a good idea to order your cap and gown early to ensure you get the right size and have it in time.
- Guest Information: Find out how many guests you can bring to the ceremony. Plan your guest list and keep your family and friends informed.
- Ceremony Details: Make sure you know the location, time, and any specific instructions for graduates for the commencement ceremony.
