Biography

Dr. Rachel Moya was appointed to the UWF Board of Trustees on December 19, 2024. Born and raised on Hilton Head Island, SC, Dr. Rachel Moya received her BS in Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina, MA in Intelligence Studies with a focus in Operations from American Military University and PhD in Public Policy and Administration from Walden University. She also holds a Certificate in Education Finance from Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy. Dr. Moya previously served on numerous elected or appointed education focused Boards to include the Beaufort County Board of Education, Beaufort-Jasper Academy of Career Excellence, and EDmarket Association. Dr. Rachel Moya currently leads as Chief Executive Officer for management consulting company, Scale Strategies Inc. Assisting medium and large size businesses in scaling their revenue and operations. She is a wife and mom/stepmom to 5 daughters and a son and resident of Ponte Vedra, FL.
