Dan McMillan

Biography

Dan McMillan has been with the D. W. McMillan Trust and the D. W. McMillan Foundation of Brewton, Alabama, for 35 years. As the managing trustee, he oversees all operations and manages the investment assets of these two private and charitable entities. Distributions of income from the Trust and Foundation are used to pay family members’ medical benefits and to assist the poor and needy residents of Escambia County, Alabama, and Escambia County, Florida, as direct aid to individuals and nonprofit organizations. 

Dan graduated from the University of West Florida in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Management. He has served on several boards of organizations such as the Brewton Area YMCA, Lakeview Center Foundation, Community Foundation of Northwest Florida, Sacred Heart Foundation, Gulf Coast Council of Boy Scouts, past President of Brewton Rotary Club, and the University of West Florida Foundation. 

Dan and his wife, Kathy, live in Brewton and have three children and nine grandchildren. He is active in his church and enjoys hunting and fishing in his leisure time.
