Request a Mentor

UWF enjoys the advantage of being in a strong business community, which provides for a vast network of accomplished, remarkable mentors. Being a UWF student mentee is an opportunity to experience, understand and learn from an executive mentor's professional experience, knowledge and skills. This one-on-one mentor relationship allows each mentee to receive individual attention and guidance related to career aspirations, professional development, and networking needs.

DaCotah Ledbetter and Amy Miller

“From a perspective of a mentor, we are all senior management or higher level people in our organization, we all want to give back to the community, but we have so many ways we can do that…the ones that hold our attention for an extended period of time generally are those that bring some award to us, that we get something out of it. As a second year mentor with one mentee, I have to tell you I have gotten so much out of this program. I know there are mentors that have been in the program for five years and I think that really says something about it.”

- Amy Miller, Port Director
Port of Pensacola
