Biography
Steve Riggs has 40 years of experience in public accounting and consulting services. He specializes in taxation, real estate development, representation before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), divorce settlements and litigation, forensic accounting and acquisitions, and court appointed corporate/trustee engagements. In January 2009, Steve was appointed to the Florida Board of Accountancy. Steve served as Chairman of the Florida Board of Accountancy in 2014.
Steve is a founding partner of one of the top 20 accounting firms in the country, Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC (CRI). CRI began as a small partnership in 1986 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and provides services primarily in four areas: Auditing; Tax Planning and Compliance; Management Advisory Services; and General Accounting.
Prior to co‐founding Carr, Riggs & Ingram, Steve worked for the IRS as a field agent for four years in Jacksonville, Florida.
Steve is a graduate from the University of West Florida in Pensacola with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Steve has been appointed by various Courts as a corporate trustee, custodian or executor and has managed and sold businesses under the supervision of the Court.
