John Switzer

Biography

John Switzer is the president/owner of JLSwit, LLC, an Alabama real estate asset management company based in Pensacola. He’s a combat veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Grenada Invasion onboard the USS Luce DDG38. John also served a 2-year tour at NAS Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal, from 1984-86, contributing to the gathering of data during the largest Soviet submarine training exercise off the coast of the U.S. in the summer of 1985. After his Instructor Duty at FTCTL Damneck, Virginia, was completed in 1988, John enrolled in the Pilot MIS Degree program offered by the College of Business at the University of West Florida. Graduating in Summer 1989, John went to work for Lamar Advertising Company as operations manager, retiring in 1998. 

John has minority ownership in the following local companies: National Energy, USA and DigiPro Media. 

John has been blessed to provide funding for many programs/scholarships for students of the College of Business, as well as several other charitable organizations.
