We offer scholarships to undergraduate students and have an outstanding internship program.

Children and society is a flexible degree, preparing you for a career in fields such as advocacy, health care, research, public policy and teaching.

What You Will Learn

Drawing from multiple disciplines, the children and society program focuses on solutions to some of society’s most pressing problems.

Courses are taught by prominent scholars and experienced professionals who combine academic and practical perspectives. Our small classes give you opportunities to interact with our faculty and engage in lively discussions.

You will study child welfare, juvenile justice and psychology and choose from courses in family law, social psychology, public health and related areas.

We offer a robust internship program in collaboration with more than 50 different agencies.

High-achieving students can start taking graduate-level courses as an undergraduate, counting up to 12 credit hours of graduate criminal justice coursework toward both the B.A. and the M.S. in Criminal Justice.
