Biography

Chasidy Hobbs is an Instructor in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, where she teaches several classes along with managing the internship program. She is also the UWF Director of Conservation. Hobbs has both a B.S. and an M.S. in Environmental Science from UWF.

A faculty member since 2007 Hobbs' focus is on teaching, community engagement, career advising, and directing both the UWF Community Garden and Argos' Edible Campus programs. She serves on several boards of directors for both professional and non-profit organizations. Hobbs won a Distinguished Faculty Service Award in 2014 and 2020, the SGA Distinguished Teaching Award in 2020 and 2021, and the UWF Community Service Award in 2020.
