Scholarships
For students with a major in Biology, or related disciplines involving the study, conservation, and preservation of wild bird life in North America.
The Department of Biology currently offers the following scholarship for qualified students.
Mertis "Sunny" Brown Scholarship Award
Scholarship for students majoring in Biology who are working specifically on a project involving the study, conservation, and preservation of wild bird life in North America. This scholarship is available for undergraduates at the junior or senior level or for graduate students. To be eligible, applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.00. The award ranges from $1,500 to $3,000 per academic year per student for a maximum of 2 years per award, and scholarship is awarded to up to 2 eligible students per academic year. Application must be executed 2 months prior to the beginning of the semester in which the student wishes support to begin.
