Getting Started Online

UWF's MyUWF app portal and eLearning infrastructure provides our online community with the resources and support needed to receive a dynamic, high-quality online learning experience.


MyUWF contains all of the information and online services you need to be an active member of the UWF community. The searchable index contains the online services that are specific to you as a student. 

eLearning Help for Students

Get started on your online courses with these guides on activating your MyUWF/ArgoNet account, Canvas orientation, finding your eLearning classes and additional online student support resources. 

Online Academic Resources

Learn more about the UWF Library resources available to online students including research assistance, the personal librarian program, inter-library loans and the “Ask a Librarian” chat or text service.

Get help with the mechanics of writing and upgrade the quality of your papers. Call the Grammar Hotline, submit a paper and receive written feedback or take advantage of virtual face-to-face paper readings.

Tutoring & Learning Resources provides free academic support services with tutoring available for almost all general education courses. Learn more about the services offered, upcoming workshops, tutoring availability or how to request an academic coach.

Online Student Services

Career Development & Community Engagement

From career development guidance, creating a professional résumé or interviewing practice to career exploration and 1:1 career coaching, CDCE resources and online tools are available to help you find your path. Handshake is the university-wide job posting system for students and alumni to schedule appointments with career coaches, stay up to date with career events, and search for jobs, internships, Co-ops, and more.

Counseling and Psychological Services

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) offers counseling and therapy to help students manage, cope and grow with the stress associated with school and life. Services are available to any UWF student regardless of full or part-time status. Utilize the Self-Help Library to complete online Mental Health Screenings or Request an Appointment if you can travel to campus.

Military and Veteran Resource Center

Recognized as a gold-level University in the large public school category on the list of Military Friendly Schools, UWF’s MVRC is dedicated to supporting our military and veteran students. VetSuccess, SWIM (Social Work Interns Mentoring) Team, Certifying Officials and Transitions Coaches are available to ensure your success at UWF.

Student Accessibility Resources

UWF provides individualized support services to encourage full participation for students with disabilities. Register with the office to review eligibility for accommodations and services. Registration meetings can occur virtually. Complete the semester request process each semester to notify selected instructors of eligible accommodations.

Additional Student Resources

Purchase or rent textbooks online from the UWF Bookstore immediately after registering for classes. You can also order your UWF apparel, Argo gear and gifts online.

Although not required for online students, the benefits of having a Nautilus Card are worth considering.
