Space and Lease Management

Departments or customers requesting space on campus must initiate a space search by completing a Space Request Form which can be found through MyUWF (https://my.uwf.edu) at Facilities Planning and Construction website.  

Requesters should fill out the-form and contact the Space Manager at 850.474.3427 for assistance. A space search and analysis will be initiated. If adequate space is not located on campus, an off-campus search for leased space will ensue, pending approval from the requester. 

Leases must be initiated by completing a Lease Request located on the UWF Service Desks page. Room function (use) changes must be initiated by completing an Authorization for Room Function Change form located on the UWF Service Desks page under Space Use and Management. 

Interior Building Signage

Requests for interior building signage must be initiated through the utilization of the Facilities Project Request Form which can be located through MyUWF. Interior signage designs will follow the standard design identified in the University of West Florida “Building Design and Construction Standards (PDF)" , "Section 10440 - Signage" The department’s Space Manager manages all interior signage projects.

Leasing for Academic, Office and Storage Space

Leasing is processed through Facilities Planning and Construction. A Facilities Project Request will be required if renovations to the leased space are needed. All leased space renovation projects must be contracted and will require an approved lease agreement bearing the signatures of the General Counsel and Vice President of Finance and Administration. Facilities Planning and Construction will establish the project scope of work to suit the requirements of the requestor.
