Shantel Davis

Biography

Shantel Davis is vice president and group manager of sales, southeast, at The Greenbrier Companies (GBX); leaders in rail car and barge manufacturing and freight transportation services.  She provides executive sales and marketing leadership for implementing both short and long-term business strategies and supply chain solutions for an approximately $700M portfolio of revenue and volume growth for domestic and global distribution.  

Prior to joining GBX, Shantel served as Vice President of Real Estate and Facilities Management at CSX Transportation where she managed land sales and auxiliary services totaling over $800M.  

In her current role, Davis draws upon over 20 years of experience in sales and marketing, real estate, and facilities management with CSX Transportation while living in Vancouver, WA, Tampa, FL, and now back in her birthplace, Jacksonville, FL.  

Davis holds a master of business administration from Jacksonville University and a bachelor's degree in communications and criminal justice from the University of North Florida. 

Davis serves on various boards including the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, Sulzbacher Center for the Homeless, University of North Florida Foundation, Jacksonville University Public Policy, YMCA Metropolitan, Goodwill Industries of Northeast Florida, and Jacksonville Classical Academy.   

In July 20198, Davis was named to the board of trustees at Florida State College at Jacksonville by Governor Ron DeSantis.  Davis was named one of twenty 2020 Women of Influence by the Jacksonville Business Journal. 

Davis is a proud mother of one daughter.  She enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.  She is a lifetime member of Leadership Florida, and a member of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc, and Jack & Jill of America, Inc.
