John Doughtery

Biography

John Doughtery is an instructor of art who specializes in graphic design and new media.

As an artist, Doughtery has offered expertise in a variety of roles. He served as an art preparator for the Museum of Contemporary Craft, Feldman Gallery and Bravo Art Handling Inc, Freelance Art Handling. Additionally, he has designed for multiple companies; has led students as a design mentor for various media to include student publications, websites and design exhibitions.&

Dougherty’s work has been featured in exhibits in Oregon, Oklahoma, Missouri, New York and Florida as well as multiple publications, to include Tom Tom Magazine.

For his work, Dougherty has won multiple awards to include the Springfield Regional Arts Council, Grant for Exhibition.

Degrees & Institutions

Doughtery earned a BFA in Visual Art, concentration in studio art, from the University of West Florida in 2009 and an MFA in Visual Studies from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in in 2014.
