The University of West Florida Dr. Grier Williams School of Music will present the UWF Singers in their “Take a Breath” concert. The performance will be held on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the Rolfs Music Hall at the Center for Fine and Performing Arts on the UWF Pensacola campus.

Exploring facets of everyday mental health, the UWF Singers and Concert Choir will present an eclectic collection of poetry and music of historical figures like Sara Teasdale, Robert Bridges, Aaron Copland, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Johannes Brahms and William Billings, as well as modern voices like Brandi Carlile, U2 (Bono) and Jennifer Lucy Cook. Throughout these works, students will interpret joy, grief, dance, breath, anxiety, love, loss and the importance of community.
