Christina L. Bolte is the Collections Manager and Faculty Research Associate at UWF Archaeology Institute. She manages archaeological material holdings and conducts collections-based research, exhibition, and education.

Jennifer Melcher is a faculty research associate with the UWF Archaeology Institute. Her research covers contact period indigenous populations of the northern Gulf coast through historic cemeteries.

Mary Furlong Minkoff is the Executive Director of the Florida Public Archaeology Network (FPAN). At FPAN, Mary oversees a network of regional centers dedicated to promoting stewardship, public appreciation, and the value of Florida’s archaeological heritage through community engagement.

Dr. Della Scott-Ireton has worked with the Pensacola Shipwreck Survey, West Florida Historic Preservation, Inc., Florida Bureau of Archaeological Research and the government of the Cayman Islands before joining the Florida Public Archaeology Network (FPAN.us) where she serves as associate director.

Mike Thomin is the manager of the Florida Public Archaeology Network’s Destination Archaeology Resource Center and a Faculty Research Associate at the University of West Florida. Thomin has spent nearly two decades working as a museum professional in public archaeology.

Dr. Allysha Winburn is an associate professor of anthropology, Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Anthropology, and Registered Professional Archaeologist. A biological anthropologist, she focuses on holistic forensic anthropology, skeletal age estimation, and ritual uses of human remains.

Dr. John Worth, professor of anthropology, teaches historical archaeology, historical research methods, Southeastern Indians, and field and laboratory methods in archaeology.

Dr. Katherine Miller Wolf is a bioarchaeologist, Registered Professional Archaeologist (#47012451), and UWF associate professor of Anthropology. She specializes in the study of skeletal remains from archaeological sites to answer cultural questions about the past.

UWF President Emeritus Judy Bense joined UWF in 1980 and built an Anthropology/Archaeology program at UWF from scratch. This program today is one of the leading programs in Florida and the country known for its active research in Florida archaeology and outreach to the public.
