Dear UWF Faculty and Staff:

I wanted to share with you an action of the Board of Governors yesterday.

The BOG appointed 21 individuals to be members of the boards of trustees at the 11 institutions of the State University System of Florida. The new appointees will join their respective boards Jan. 6, to serve five-year terms.

Steve Riggs and Bentina Terry are newly appointed to our UWF Board of Trustees.

Riggs is a partner in the CPA firm of Carr, Riggs & Ingram and is a member of the Board of Directors of the UWF Foundation. Riggs replaces Roy Smith who has served the limit of two terms.

Terry is vice president for external affairs and corporate services at Gulf Power and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Florida Chamber Foundation. Terry replaces J.T. Young. Please join me in thanking Smith and Young for their service to UWF. They greatly helped our university grow and develop.
