Upcoming Survey for The Chronicle's "Great Colleges to Work For" Program
In 2008, the University of West Florida participated in The Chronicle for Higher Education "Great Colleges to Work For" program, a study designed to recognize institutions that have created innovative programs in compensation, benefits and the work experience. UWF's faculty and staff were invited to take part in the survey and, as a result, UWF has been "Named a Great College to Work For."
UWF is again participating in The Chronicle's "Great Colleges to Work For" Program. Part of the program involves an employee survey distributed to a sample of each institution's full-time faculty, administrators and professional staff. This survey was designed specifically for higher education. On April 2, this survey will be distributed to a random selection of UWF employees. If you are included in this random sample of employees, you will receive an e-mail invitation along with instructions on how to complete the online survey.
I encourage everyone invited to participate in this important survey to take the time to complete the process. You will be representing not only yourself, but all of your UWF colleagues. The results of the survey will be factored into the overall scoring process that will ultimately determine the institutions recognized. After The Chronicle publishes the findings this summer, UWF will receive a report that summarizes responses to the survey questions.
I want to emphasize that this is an anonymous survey to measure the strength of certain organizational competencies and relationships that most directly impact and influence an institution's culture. Your participation and honest feedback is critical to the assessment process. To ensure the confidentiality of your responses, your survey will be processed by ModernThink, a research and consulting firm focused on workplace excellence. UWF will not be given any information that would enable the university to trace survey data back to an individual.
Again, I encourage everyone to participate! A high response rate helps ensure accurate results and demonstrates the commitment of our workforce.
Thank you, in advance, for your participation. You are welcome to contact Cindy Faria at Ext. 2602 if you have any questions.
