Graduate Anthropological Association

Founded in 2007, GAA is an organization of graduate students dedicated to the support and education of anthropology. We aim to engage the public in anthropological research, while giving back to the community through volunteering with non-profit organizations, such as Keep Pensacola Beautiful and MANNA Food Pantries. Through GAA’s Professional Development lecture series, students can engage learn from professionals in the field of anthropology about how to create a professional CV, publish research articles, utilize social media professionally, present research to the public and/or professionals, etc. GAA also acts as a liaison between students and faculty, and provides funding opportunities for active graduate student members wishing to attend academic conferences in the field of anthropology.

For more information and to receive email updates about meetings, events, and opportunities, current or accepted graduate students with UWF Argonet accounts can add themselves to the GAA page on Argo Pulse.
