William Wilson is originally from Georgia, and received his B.S. in anthropology from Kennesaw State University in 2010. He'd done fieldwork in northern Georgia, a Preclassic/Classic Maya site in the Belize Valley, and the Slobodna shipwreck in the Florida Keys before participating in UWF's combined terrestrial/maritime field school in 2011. His main research interests include: site formation processes, New World trade during the Golden Age of Sail, and lithic debitage analysis.
