Sara Brake

Biography

Sara joined UWF in 2006 and has a variety of experience in international education. Sara is engaged on campus. She serves on the UWF Information Systems Coordinating Group (InfoSys) and the Risk and Compliance Council. She is a past secretary for the Staff Senate.

She previously served as Florida International Leadership Conference Coordinator for the Florida Association of International Educators. She has volunteered at the annual conference for NAFSA: Association of International Educators. 

Sara is committed to community engagement. She volunteers with local 4-H programs and serves as a member of the Escambia County Extension Council. Sara also volunteers with the Florida 4-H State Council and serves as a member of the Florida 4-H Legislature Adult Steering Committee working each year with youth from across Florida to plan and present a mock government program in the State Capital each summer. 

Sara earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Florida State University and a master’s degree in college student personnel administration from UWF. Her studies include an interest in cultural development.
