Student Researcher Writers Group
Undergraduate research students who want to take it to the next level should consider publishing their work!
The OUR Student Researchers Writers Group is part instructional, part accountability, and part support group for student researchers in any department and at any experience/skill level.
Undergraduate students can join anytime. Contact OUR via email, our@uwf.edu, to request more information and to register for the next Zoom meeting.
Topics reviewed and discussed during the Research Writer's Group sessions include:
- Writing the background and hypothesis of your research.
- Outlining the research project outline and writing abstracts.
- Constructing the sections of a research paper such as the introduction, materials and methods, figures and tables, results, discussion, and conclusions.
OUR provides the workshop to have a casual place to discuss your writing, get feedback from your peers, engage and support other undergraduate research students, and keep students on track to meeting their writing deadlines.
