Ashley Toland

Biography

Dr. Ashley M. Toland, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work, is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with over 15 years of experience in the field. Her practice experience includes administrative social work, non-profit management, grant writing, school-based social work, community mental health, work within the court system (substance use intervention), inpatient treatment with adults, and outpatient counseling with adolescents, adults, and aging adults.

Degrees & Institutions

Dr. Toland received her DSW from Tulane University in 2022. There, she completed two advanced practice projects titled “The Mental Health Implications of Adoption Trauma on People Adopted at Birth” and “From Denial to Disproportionality: History of White Supremacy, Structural Racism, and the Child Welfare System”.
