Biography

Dr. Angela Hahn received a bachelor’s degree in biology from UWF in 1996. She moved to Tennessee in 1997 and worked at Vanderbilt Medical School in biomedical research. Angela continued her studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she earned a doctorate in microbiology and immunology while working on a training fellowship at Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.  Before coming to UWF in 2006, she taught at Central Carolina Community College.

Angela is currently the chairperson of the UWF Department of Health Sciences and Administration and teaches health science and human physiology. Angela has an academic interest in developing experiential learning opportunities that prepare students to meet the challenging demands of the healthcare workforce. She has designed online and traditional classroom courses in human physiology, health science technology, health sciences research and public health preparedness. She has interests in learning assessment, program evaluation, and health policy.
