Assessment at the School of Education
Assessment helps School of Education faculty and administrators understand and enhance the student experience. We support learning outcomes assessment at the course, department, and college levels using empirically sound instruments and protocols. Aggregated student assessment data are analyzed and reported for students, faculty, staff, and UWF administration.
The Office of Academic Assessment and Student Progress (OAASP) supports the evaluation of teaching and learning at the classroom, academic program, college, and university levels. Our services include:
Support for Departments in:
- Defining student learning goals
- Implementing direct and indirect assessment methods, such as curricular maps, senior exit surveys, course-based assessments, field-experience evaluations, professional impact measures, and employer surveys
- Analyzing and reporting assessment results
Student Experience Surveys:
- Alumni Surveys
- Exit Surveys
- Field Supervisor Evaluations
Course Data Reports:
- Helping faculty track student performance within and across courses
- Providing department chairs and deans with one- and five-year student performance reports
