UWF's online undergraduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis provides streamlined curriculum enabling you to efficiently reach certification requirements. ABA can afford diverse opportunities for students interested in pursuing a rewarding career.
Why Study Behavior Analysis at UWF?
The six-course online Undergraduate ABA Certificate can be added to any undergraduate degree. These programs include the course sequence which meets the curriculum requirements for the Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) and Qualified Autism Service Practitioner-Supervisor (QASP-S) exams. The Undergraduate ABA Certificate is also available to non-degree seeking students as a standalone coursework option.
Behavior analysts understand behavior and why it occurs. They assess needs, identify goals and formulate interventions to help people overcome barriers, acquire skills and enhance their lives. With many applications in clinical, educational and occupational settings, behavior analysts improve the lives of individuals across a variety of interests.
Students enrolling in the undergraduate certificate in behavior analysis may complete the curriculum requirements to sit for the national Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) exam and the international Applied Behavior Analysis Technician (ABAT) exam upon completing their first course (HSC 3102). Behavior Technicians work directly with clients to implement behavior treatment plans under the guidance and supervision of a Behavior Analyst. Clients are often children, teens or adults diagnosed with Autism or other diagnoses that would benefit from behavioral treatment. This creates an opportunity for you to gain employment in the clinical healthcare field while earning your certificate or degree.

Our ABAI-verified BCaBA undergraduate course sequence meets the requirements for the BCaBA 5th Edition Task List and the QASP-S exam. These courses are also included in the online B.S. in Health Sciences Degree with ABA Specialization offered at UWF.
