What You Will Learn

The software design and development program integrates fundamental concepts in software design and development with concepts in modern programming languages, database systems, software engineering principles and mobile and net-centric application development.

You will gain strong programming and software development skills and learn how to build and deploy web and mobile applications. You will learn how to use modern software development tools and apply state-of-the-art software engineering practices to develop and maintain software.

We offer numerous scholarship opportunities and local and regional internships with industrial and governmental employers including Navy Federal Credit Union, AppRiver, Bit-Wizards, the Department of Homeland Security, ActiGraph and CGI.

The program is accredited under the University with the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
