Construction is a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly rewarding industry. The UWF Bachelor of Science program prepares students for exciting careers in Construction Management.

Why Study Construction Management at UWF?

Construction managers plan, coordinate, budget, and supervise construction projects from start to finish, and often serve as the primary intermediaries between owners, design professionals, and the specialty trades. Successful professionals in this field exhibit excellent communication skills, organization, leadership, values and character.

Since 1989, UWF has provided construction education to the Florida Panhandle and broader region. Located along the aptly named Emerald Coast of Florida, UWF boasts exceptional recreational activities and beautiful scenery. The Tyler Chase Norwood Construction Management Program enjoys exceptional relationships with local industry partners and employers, and students are routinely placed in positions with progressive responsibility and potential for advancement.

As an undergraduate program, the Department of Civil Engineering and Construction Management's focus is on preparing students for the industry and job readiness. Class sizes are comparatively smaller than they are in other institutions, and are regularly taught by full-time, dedicated faculty. Historically, courses have been offered in the evenings to accommodate working professionals, and students are able to gain on-the-job experience during the day while completing their academic requirements after work.
