Virtual Map FAQ

The UWF virtual map can be found at map.uwf.edu. For more information about UWF maps, please visit uwf.edu/maps.

The UWF virtual map is using an automatic data-feed from the campus directory to populate department information on the virtual map. Please click the home button on the right side of the map followed by holding Shift and clicking Refresh to see the most up-to-date version of the map. If your department's information is still incorrect, please fill out an ITS Request form with the name of your department and any information that needs to be replaced or corrected.

While the University would like to have the virtual map as detailed as possible to properly represent the UWF locations, not every location and detail can be rendered due to limited resources and location permanence. Please click the home button on the right side of the map followed by holding Shift and clicking Refresh to see the most up-to-date version of the map. If any information or location on the map is incorrect or missing, please fill out the virtual map feedback form and select Incorrect/Missing Information for the issue type.

The UWF virtual map includes a print generator for users who wish to have a print out of the map for their purposes. The print map generator is available on desktop at the top right via the printer icon and on mobile at the bottom right via the "more" three dots icon. Note: As construction projects around campus are completed, University Marketing and Communications may update the rendering on the virtual map depending on the size and scope of the construction. If you print a map, it is recommended to generate a new map every 1-2 years or after any major construction projects are completed. For example, after the Darrell Gooden Stadium construction is completed in Fall 2027 (estimated), users or departments with print maps are encouraged to generate and print a new map if their printed map includes that area of campus.

Paper maps may be available at the Visitors Center located in Building 81, or at the Service Desk located in the University Commons, Building 22.

Each location and department on the map includes keywords that help enhance searchability. Ensure the search is spelled correctly. Please click the home button on the right side of the map followed by holding Shift and clicking Refresh to see the most up-to-date version of the map. If a search result is still not appearing, please fill out our virtual map feedback form and select Incorrect/Missing Information for the issue type.

Use the search bar to search by building name, building number, department or keywords related to the building or department. If the location exists, it will be marked on the map once selected in the search results. If the location does not populate in the search results, please fill out our virtual map feedback form and select Incorrect/Missing Information for the issue type.

Click the pin for the location you wish to get directions to. Click the diamond-shaped directions button in the location’s top menu bar. Enter your starting location information or click “My Location” and allow map.concept3d.com to access your location.

Turn on your department's markers that you wish to show on your custom map. You can then click Get This View to copy the custom URL that contains the map with those options displayed.

At this time, there is no app for the virtual map, however, the map is compatible with mobile devices. The interactive map is built with a responsive design and HTML5 to present cleanly and clearly across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.

Visit uwf.edu/campusparking for an overview of campus parking lots with available spots for the corresponding permit category.

The previous link will open the map with the All Passes category auto selected which are parking spots available for all valid parking permits excluding the remote parking permit. If you wish to view parking spots available for a specific permit, select the appropriate permit category on the map to switch from the All Passes category.

Individual campus parking lots are also available for viewing in alphabetical order.

While the wayfinding feature is active on the trails, we strongly recommend that you do NOT rely on wayfinding to find your way out of a trail if you get lost.

The map requires a good cell network or Wi-Fi connection to work, and the wayfinding feature will require a good GPS satellite connection to pinpoint your location. These connections are not always reliable on the trails while deep in the woods. Additionally, the wayfinding routes only apply to the trails themselves, if you are not on an established trail, the service will not be of use to you. Finally, the wayfinding feature only applies to the physical boundaries of UWF properties, so better routes out using public roads and residential streets will be ignored in favor of keeping you within UWF grounds.

You can try wayfinding out on the trail, however, we suggest downloading an and familiarizing yourself with the trails before going out, bringing an experienced friend along with you, always sticking to established trails and keeping an eye out for tree blazes and trail signs. Some trails can be long, but they all eventually reach a trailhead near Pate Road or the Edward Ball Nature Trail (boardwalk). If you find a long and narrow clearing, you can follow the power lines south to safety as well. In an emergency, please dial 911 or call UWF campus police at 850.474.2415.

Yes. UWF does not run ads on official websites and pages and disabling ad blockers on the map will allow the webpage to function properly.
