Calendar Guidelines

Guidelines for the UWF Event Calendar.

Events submitted to the UWF Event Calendar must meet the below guidelines and follow the event submission instructions. Failure to do so will result in the event submission being rejected.

  • Events submissions should be events officially organized by UWF or a Direct Support Organization of UWF, or events taking place on the Pensacola campus or UWF Emerald Coast. Please note the UWF Event Calendar is a public facing event calendar for the broader UWF community and viewable by the general public. The UWF Event Calendar does not accept event submissions promoting non-UWF events.
  • Event submissions must follow the appropriate department and University event guidelines, and have received the appropriate approvals before the event is submitted to the UWF Event Calendar. By submitting the event to the UWF Event Calendar, the event submitter accepts responsibility that the event is appropriately approved.
  • Students are welcome to submit student group events to the UWF Event Calendar. Please note the UWF Event Calendar is a public facing event calendar for the broader UWF community and viewable by the general public. Argo Pulse is recommended for student group events that are more internal or student only. The department or advisor overseeing the student group is recommended to submit events for the student group if desired to display on the UWF Event Calendar.
  • Event submissions must be event oriented. Event submissions for academic courses, office hours, staff meetings (unless a public meeting notice), registration requests leading up to an event, campus news, campus announcements, etc. will not be approved if submitted. Instead, event submissions that are more appropriate as campus announcements should be submitted to the @UWF Faculty and Staff Newsletter. Please note the @UWF newsletter is only distributed to UWF faculty and staff.
