Dave Wagner, "Finding Your Constants in a World of Change"
Thursday, October 17, 2019
Lecture 7-8:30 p.m.
College of Business, Building 76A/101
In February of 2019, Dave Wagner made the boldest move of his three-year tenure as president and CEO of Zix. That’s when he led the Dallas-based email security company to double its size by purchasing AppRiver, creating a juggernaut with the revenue, services, and reseller base to challenge much larger competitors in the security, productivity, and compliance space. With more than 30 years of corporate and technology leadership experience with Raytheon, Nortel, Entrust, and Zix, Wagner is well-versed in managing companies and his own career through periods of dramatic upheaval and change. Join us for an evening with Dave as he discusses the three macrotrends he believes will shape life and work in the decades ahead – and the commitments all of us should make to position ourselves and our businesses for lasting success.
Dave Wagner is a graduate of Penn State where he received both his bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master of business administration (MBA) degree.
Event is free and open to the public.

Join us for the Executive Mentor Program and Wells Fargo speaker series, "Superhero Leadership: How Everyday People can have an Extraordinary Impact In Their Careers" featuring Brett Culp.
Leadership starts with the ability to look at every challenge—even the mundane tasks—as an opportunity to make a positive impact. Drawing from his unique approach to community building through filmmaking, Brett shares practical insights that will equip attendees to embrace their strengths, contribute to a larger mission, and uncover a more expansive view of what everyone can accomplish together. He shares powerful stories from his filmmaking adventures of ordinary people who have accomplished extraordinary things. By learning to see themselves as leaders contributing to a noble, shared vision, attendees will feel empowered to bring greater confidence and enthusiasm to their everyday tasks. This shift in perspective ignites the heroic spirit in audiences, equipping them to bring the truest, most powerful view of themselves to every aspect of their work and life.
