Stephen McCrory

Biography
Stephen McCrory is an IHMC Research Associate and a Pensacola native enrolled in the Intelligent Systems and Robotics joint Ph.D. program at UWF. He interned at IHMC during the DARPA virtual challenge and the DRC Finals, working on controls and trajectory generation. His focus in the Ph.D. program is multi-contact robot estimation, planning, and control.
He earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in physics and computer engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2016, he joined IHMC as a research associate and has worked on projects ranging from path-planning algorithms for humanoids and quadrupeds to a controller for the MegaBots' large-scale hydraulic mechanics. He also conducts ongoing research with Atlas.
His interests include unicycling, running, and chess.
