West Florida Fire and Nature Festival

The 2026 Inaugural West Florida Fire and Nature Festival was a huge success and the festival will continue to be held every year. It is a family-friendly, environmental and educational outdoor event sharing the importance of prescribed fire for ecosystem health, wildlife biodiversity, and wildfire mitigation. Our UWF Arbor Day celebration happens at this festival and we will be giving away native fruiting trees.

There will also be prescribed fire demonstrations by the Florida Forest Service. With a variety of interactive games and exhibits by environmental organizations, live entertainment, food trucks, and exciting activities, there’s lots of fun for the whole family!
