Inaugural West Florida Fire and Nature Festival

The Inaugural West Florida Fire and Nature Festival will be a family-friendly, environmental and educational outdoor event sharing the importance of prescribed fire for ecosystem health, wildlife biodiversity, and wildfire mitigation. This event will be combined with our UWF Arbor Day celebration and we will be giving away native fruiting trees.

There will also be prescribed fire demonstrations by the Florida Forest Service. With a variety of interactive games and exhibits by environmental organizations, live entertainment, food trucks, and exciting activities, there’s lots of fun for the whole family!

Join us on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Edward Ball Nature Trail Entrance!
