Protecting the Blue and Green’s Natural Beauty
The UWF Conservation Program works to manage and protect the UWF Conservation areas, which are used for education, research and recreation. UWF conserves over one thousand acres of land, including longleaf pine, wetland, and barrier island habitats. These areas are a valuable natural resource for both UWF and the surrounding community.
Mission
Our mission is to protect and manage the UWF Conservation Areas. We also aim to engage the greater UWF community in environmental stewardship by providing educational, recreational, and volunteer opportunities. We see a future in which the University of West Florida is a regional conservation leader.
Projects
The UWF Conservation Program has three major projects: Natural Resource Management, the Living Lab, and the Argos Conservation Corps. Learn more about these programs by visiting the links below!
