Details on how to join the UWF Argo Athletic Band
Argo Band Camp Dates
Argo Band Camp is required for membership in the Argo Athletic Band. This rehearsal time is crucial for the success of the ensemble, so no exceptions will be made to this rule.
Band camp dates for 2024 will be announced soon!
Audition Requirements
General Audition Information
1. Email us at athleticband@uwf.edu to schedule your audition.
2. Complete the Interest Form below.
Audition Dates
- Drumline and Color Guard Auditions
- May 11 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Wind Auditions

Auditions for the Argo Marching Band Colorguard will occur on-campus on May 11th, 2024. Plan for auditions to start by 9:00AM last throughout the morning and afternoon. Colorguard final selections will be made at the conclusion of the audition.
What to wear to the audition day:
- Black Leotard
- Black dance shorts or leggings (tights or pantyhose are optional)
- Hair and makeup should be performance ready
What to prepare for the audition day:
Each auditionee should prepare a routine that is 1-2 minutes in length that includes at least 30 seconds of dance and 30 seconds of equipment (flag). Those students wishing to audition on weapon can include rifle work in addition to the above requirements.
There will also be a unison routine taught to everyone to perform during the audition. Details to follow.

- Two Major Scales of your choosing (demonstrate as many octaves as possible)
