Biography

Laura Noah is the director of percussion at the University of West Florida and co-director of the UWF Argo Athletic Band. At UWF, she directs the Percussion Ensemble, the Argo Drumline, teaches applied percussion, percussion methods, marching band methods, and Music and World Cultures. She is also co-director of the UWF Argo Athletic Band. As professional musician, Noah is the principal timpanist for the Mobile Symphony, Pensacola Symphony, Gulf Coast Symphony, Meridian Symphony, Mobile Opera, and Pensacola Opera.

Noah is a Pearl/Adams Regional Education Artist, an endorser of Innovative Percussion products, and a member of the Percussive Arts Society.

Together, with her husband, Sean, Noah works with the McGill-Toolen Catholic High School Band program. She is the coach of the percussion ensemble and Prep Band percussion and the instructor and arranger for the front ensemble.

 

Degrees & Institutions

She earned her Bachelor of Music Performance degree from the University of Alabama, and her Master of Music Performance degree from Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University.
