2024 Student Involvement Awards
To celebrate the students, staff, and faculty who have made a difference at the University of West Florida through their participation in a registered student organization, the Office of Student Engagement has created the Student Involvement Awards.
The Student Involvement Awards is an opportunity to recognize student leaders and advisors at the University of West Florida. Awards will be presented to students, advisors, and student organizations for their dedication to their student organizations. Applications for the 2024 Student Involvement Awards will open in November.
The Student Involvement Awards will be presented in April 2024.
The student organization must be registered to be considered for any awards.
Fraternity and Sorority Life organizations will not be eligible for these awards.
Description of Awards
The Advisor of the year award recognizes the outstanding contribution of a student organization advisor towards the student organization.
Note: The advisor must have been an advisor for the organization since September 2023
This award is for a student officer who has been highly active in their student organization.
Note: The student must have held an officer position since September 2023
This award is for the new student organization that has exhibited success in implementing the organization's purpose and making an impact.
Note: The organization must have been registered since 2022
This award is for the student organization that has positively impacted the University of West Florida and the Pensacola Community.
This award is presented to the student organization that has made volunteerism and service towards the University of West Florida and the Pensacola community a priority.
This award recognizes the planning and execution of an outstanding campus event. An innovative campus program introduces new ideas or activities to campus, engages students in unique learning activities, and considers the needs and concerns of diverse populations.
Note: The program(s) should have been initiated and organized primarily by students and have a high level of student involvement.
This award goes to the student organization participating in the most SOLD Workshops.
Note: For the 2023-2024 academic year (no application necessary)
This award is presented to the student organization that has made the most use of Argo Pulse during the current school year. This includes tracking attendance, creating events and forms, and sending emails to their student org. Members, and has a completed profile in Argo Pulse.
