Student Involvement Awards
2025 Student Involvement Awards
The Office of Student Engagement has created the Student Involvement Awards in collaboration with the Fraternal Excellence Awards to celebrate the students, staff and faculty who have made a difference at the University of West Florida through their participation in a registered student organization.
The Student Involvement Awards is an opportunity to recognize student leaders and advisors at the University of West Florida. Awards will be presented to students, advisors, and student organizations for their dedication to their student organizations at the annual ceremony on April 9th at the Museum of Commerce in downtown Pensacola.
Fraternity and Sorority Life organizations are not eligible for the awards listed below. For questions regarding the Fraternal Excellence Awards, please contact fsl@uwf.edu.
How to Apply for the Student Involvement Awards
- Step 1: Review the Award Categories
Before starting your application, carefully review the available award categories. Each award recognizes different aspects of student involvement, leadership, and community impact. Choose the category that best matches the achievements of your nominee(s). - Step 2: Complete the Application Form
Select all the awards you wish to nominate your organization for, and be prepared to provide detailed information about the organization and its achievements. Be specific about the organization’s or individual’s contributions, the impact made over the past year, and how it applies to the award.
The deadline to apply is March 21, 2025. The sooner your application is submitted the quicker your application will be reviewed. - Step 3: Application Review and Interviews
Once you’ve completed the application and attached all necessary supporting materials, submit your application by the deadline. The Student Organization Council (SOC) will review all applications. They will assess each submission based on the specific award criteria.
Every eligible applicant will be awarded an interview timeslot. The interview will be held with the entire SOC Executive Board. Prepare a presentation about the organization’s accomplishments, leadership journey, impact on the UWF community, and eligibility for the award. Follow-up questions may arise during the interview. - Step 4: Attend the Awards Ceremony
Award recipients will be announced and celebrated at the award ceremony. All student organizations who apply for an award are granted 6 tickets for officers to attend the award ceremony. All student organizations who did not apply will receive 2 tickets for officers to attend. Officers will be required to RSVP before the event to reserve their seats.
We look forward to celebrating the achievements of our students and student organizations! If you have questions, please contact socpresident@uwf.edu.
