Argos Autism Program
The Argos Autism Program (AAP) is a Beyond Access service offered by Student Accessibility Resources that provides academic, social, life skills, and career planning support to students with autism who attend the University of West Florida. The goal of AAP is to enhance the college experience by providing assistance with making connections on campus and navigating Argo life.
Each student with Autism Spectrum Disorder is unique which is why we offer a variety of services to assist students during their academic journey. Our staff will assist students in choosing the best resource plan to help reach their academic, social, and professional goals. The Argos Autism Program is a collaborative effort between Student Accessibility Resources and the UWF Center for Behavior Analysis.
Services options include:
- AAP Early Arrival Program - set of workshops that helps students acclimate to campus life prior to the start of the Fall semester
- Accessibility Coaching - professional staff member from Student Accessibility who helps students navigate campus resources and accommodation needs
- Academic Coaching - student staff member who provides assistance with time management and academic supports
- AAP Professional Bridge Program - this program helps junior or senior level students prepare for the transition into a career beyond college
