What do you enjoy most about working with students?
What I love most about working with students is how no two days are the same and everyone is different. Each day brings new challenges and I enjoy working with others to solve problems.
What is your favorite quote?
“What we learn becomes part of who we are.” Knowledge is power! We are stronger when we equip ourselves with an education.
What are your favorite activities outside of work?
I enjoy reading and cooking. Some of my favorite days are working in the yard or spending time with my family at the beach. Fall beach days are the best! I love a good bonfire too.
What advice would you give to new students?
When looking back on my early years in college, I wish I would have spoken out more to my peers and professors. I would tell students to read books, join a club or organization to find your people, and don’t give up on yourself. You are stronger than you think.
What is one surprising thing about you that not many people know?
Many people may not know that I once played the trumpet and wore a hairnet to work.
