Dr. Dallas Snider

Biography

UWF Vice Provost Dr. Dallas Snider earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, a small liberal arts institution. His master’s in Instrumental Sciences and doctorate in Integrated Computing are from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Dr. Snider started at UWF in 2012 as an assistant professor after 18 years in industry as a database applications developer, with his last position in industry being at Northrop Grumman. He is a tenured professor in the Department of Cybersecurity and Information Technology (IT).

While at UWF, Dr. Snider has developed or taught courses for the Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Data Science degree programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. As department chair, he oversaw the creation of the BS and MS in IT and guided the BS in IT through its initial ABET accreditation. His research publications include interdisciplinary partnerships with Northrop Grumman, the Andrews Institute, the Florida Department of Health, the Institute for Human Machine Cognition, and the U.S. Navy. Furthermore, Dr. Snider has served as the faculty advisor for the UWF IEEE student club.
