Dr. Rosemary (Lowe) Hays-Thomas, Department of Psychology; Ph.D., University of Illinois; post-doctoral training, Louisiana State University. Dr. Hays-Thomas' background includes organizational and industrial psychology, applied social psychology, and program evaluation in mental health. She has consulted for the Louisiana Department of Commerce, health and mental health organizations, the Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce and private businesses in Florida. Dr. Hays-Thomas is a licensed psychologist (#PY0004745) and a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
Dr. Steven J. Kass, Department of Psychology, Ph.D., University of Central Florida. Dr. Kass is a proud graduate of UWF's I/O Psychology master's program (1989). Prior to returning to UWF, Dr. Kass spent 5 years as a human factors psychologist for the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division and 3 years as a research assistant for the University of Central Florida's Institute for Simulation and Training. His areas of expertise include simulation and training, group dynamics, perception, and human-machine interaction. He is currently serving as Coordinator of the M.A. track in I-O Psychology.
Dr. Stephen J. Vodanovich, Department of Psychology, Ph.D., Saint Louis University. Dr. Vodanovich's areas of expertise include personnel selection, test construction, social psychology, and legal issues related to I-O Psychology. His experience includes consulting in the public and private sectors including Anheuser-Busch, Inc., the City of St. Louis Police and Fire Departments, Solutia, Inc. (formally Monsanto, Co.), and Pall Corporation.
Dr. Sherry Schneider, Ph.D. Department of Psychology, Ph.D., University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Schneider's areas of expertise include social psychology, group dynamics, organizational psychology, and workforce diversity. She has taught at the University of Arizona, the Univesity of New South Wales, and Monash University (the latter two are in Australia). Her research interests include such topics as organizational citizenship behaviors, social identity, leadership, and group communication.
Dr. Kenneth Murrell, Department of Management; D.B.A., George Washington University. Dr. Murrell came to the University of West Florida after several years of international OD consultation and work within a large U.S. multinational company. He provides unique insight into international OD efforts and has had extensive consulting experience in business, government, and not-for-profit organizations. Dr. Murrell's research and writing on the subject of empowerment and process consultation has been widely accepted by such organizations as IBM, Ford, Motorola, Eastman Kodak and the United Nations Development Program.
