Tim Willis was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University. Mr. Willis taught for 39 years as a high school and middle school band director, serving at Eupora High School in Eupora, MS, Pensacola High School in Pensacola, Fl, Ft. Walton Beach High School, in Ft. Walton Beach, Fl and Escambia High School in Pensacola, FL. He was also director of bands at Brownsville Middle School and Jim C. Bailey Middle School in Pensacola, Fl. Mr. Willis' bands have received superior ratings at both District and State band festivals on a consistent basis for thirty six years. Mr. Willis was selected in 2008 by the Florida Bandmasters' Association to receive the Oliver Hobbs award as one of three most outstanding band directors in Florida. Mr. Willis serves as an adjudicator and clinician through out the southeast and is a member of Phi Beta Mu, MENC, ACB. Mr. Willis has been a member of the Pensacola Civic band for over twenty years. He retired from teaching in June of 2010 and now serves as a consultant for the Escambia County School System.
